As we were preparing for our 2nd China adoption, we suddenly discovered we were pregnant! This was a huge surprise and unexpected. While I obviously am joyous for this new baby, it was sad to let the little boy go that we were paperchasing in China. Our agency does not allow simultaneous adoption and birth in a family, since it would be very stressful, especially with a larger number of kids in the family. So, we had to withdraw our file on him. So, it's been a sad week, but also a joyous week...strange mixed emotions from all of us.
Either way, we are still heading on to a 6th child, but this time it will be another home-birth with a bio child. Our estimated due date is April 30, 2008, which also happens to be Kateri's 5th birthday. Everything happens for a reason and sometimes our plans are not what God has for us, so we are accepting the changes with happiness, and looking forward to this baby.

Congratulations on your new baby! I am thrilled for you. I know how you must be feeling, but certainly it is God's plan.
I didn't know you had a homebirth. I had my 12lb son at home.... :-) ouch.
Keep in touch!
